Four Quick & Easy Steps

Steps to certification

The VegeCert certification process is thorough and efficient.

Application

Apply online through our portal. You'll create a company profile and get access to submit products for review.

Application Review

Enter the ingredients and products for which you're seeking certification. Our inspectors begin reviewing your formulation against VegeCert's Standards — typically within 5 business days.

Virtual Inspection

Once your application is reviewed, our inspectors schedule a virtual facility inspection.

Contract & Certification

When our inspectors are satisfied that your products meet VegeCert's standards, we proceed to a contract and your products officially receive VegeCert certification.

After You're Certified

Certification is renewed annually — and we help you promote it

Your VegeCert certification is reviewed each year, and any new formulations or artwork go through the same portal for approval. That keeps every product carrying the mark in compliance — and gives you a reason to tell us about what's new.

Annual renewal

New product formulations and artwork are reviewed through your VegeCert account manager before the mark goes back on the package.

Social promotion

New certified products are eligible for a feature on VegeCert's own social channels — free visibility to an audience already looking for the mark.

Common Questions

What manufacturers ask us before applying

How long does certification take?

Our application review averages 5 business days once your ingredient and product list is submitted. Timelines vary slightly for more complex product lines or shared-equipment facilities.

Do I need to schedule an in-person visit?

No. VegeCert conducts virtual inspections as a standard part of the process, so you're not waiting on a travel schedule to move forward.

What does certification cost?

Fees depend on your product line and facility setup. Request a free quote and we'll give you a straightforward number, not a runaround.

Can I certify multiple products at once?

Yes. Our online portal is built for companies managing an entire product line, not just a single SKU.

Are your products vegan certified?

Apply online or request a free quote — our team will walk you through exactly what's needed.
